Examination reform has been an integral part of both our improvement programmes, COSIP (College Science Improvement Programme) and COHSSIP (College Humanities and Social Science Improvement Programme). The project has its origins in various efforts at Sophia over a period of years at introducing better and more effective instruction followed by more valid and reliable examinations. In 1970, the College began a system of Internal Assessment, which is being improved upon each year, in the light of experience gained in its operation.
